A Few More Thoughts on Self-Advocacy, Being Enough, Relative Truth, and Finding the Light
The world is screaming at us things like:
“Live YOUR truth!”
“You ARE ENOUGH!”
“Everyone needs to respect YOUR identity, and YOUR rights!”
The problem is, the more we listen to these ideas, the more tired and weak and dry our lives seem to become. There has to be a better way.
There is.
This quiet time explores the path forward out of the dryness and darkness of these lies, and will help you find the light again.
Scriptures:
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12 NIV
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, Ephesians 1:18-20 NIV
